Rich with a cultural history that dates back to its settlement in the 1700s, the St. Paul Square district grew significantly in the 1800s and by the 20th century, the area had developed into a flourishing African American community.

Since then, St. Paul Square has grown into a space filled with an aroma of culinary excellence, lined with notable architecture and affixed to The Espee, one of San Antonio’s largest special event facilities.
